SPF-EED is responsible for evaluation of Embryonated Chicken Eggs (ECEs) that come from Koum Oshim Farm for SPF Egg Production of being Free from any Pathogen to be approved and distribute them according to the need of each department.

The evaluation process depends on taking a sample of eggs from each batch before incubating them in eggs incubator at 37°C.

Collection of tested samples from the eggs (light albumin and yolk and Allantoic fluid) also preparation of blood for HA test.

SPF-EED is accredited by EGAC for ISO 17025 in 5 methods:

* Agar Gel Precipitation Test AGPT.

* Detection of HA agents using Haemagglutination (HA) test.

* Serum Plate Agglutination Test.

* ELISA.

* PCR.
